About this module
Observed fire shows what satellites detected: the number of detections (one satellite overpass seeing a hot spot, not one fire) in each district compared with normal, and each detection from the last seven days as a point you can click.
Fire probability is the estimated chance that a satellite records at least one fire detection in the district in the next five days. It is a model estimate and is labelled as one. It is experimental. Most of its skill comes from the season, and it does not yet include temperature, humidity or wind. See how it was tested.
